  • Melbourne University Racing 2026 electronics system

    2026

As Lead Electronics Engineer I lead a 17-person team across hardware, software and data delivering the 2026 Formula SAE car's electronics. This year, we transitioned to a fully new architecture and codebase, featuring five STM32 nodes managing telemetry, vehicle state-machine logic and driver interfaces, supported by strict testability-first PCB workflows and separated build, test and validation tracking.

STM32 hardware platform & sensor nodes

High level system design and reference veleopement board design for the distributed hardware nodes across the vehicle, including pedal box sensor nodes, dashboard telemetry and control interfaces, pairing PCB design with test-plan development and dedicated bench test points.

    Unified FreeRTOS firmware monorepo

Built a unified multi-target C/FreeRTOS monorepo for all STM32 ECUs, featuring modular HAL/CMSIS drivers, multi-rate task scheduling, and data-driven automated matrix build tooling.

  • BLE ultra-low-power energy-harvesting air quality sensor

    2025

Designed a custom ultra-low-power PCB in Altium Designer around the Nordic nRF52840 for batteryless indoor air quality monitoring, pairing ambient energy harvesting with microwatt-scale BLE transmission.

  • 300 W DC/DC buck converter

    2025

As part of my responsibilities coming into Formula Student Team Delft, I was given a DC/DC buck converter board which outputs 24V and 13V that I needed to produce and validate, through that process we uncovered a variety of issues with the 13V converter design, through SMD rework I patched the existing v1 boards. Alongside that, I designed a second revision, adding a second 24V channel, each supporting 12.5 A of current, and improving the routing for the 13V buck, powering DUT25's electronics and autonomous systems. DUT25 finished third at Formula Student Germany.

  • MUR Motorsports 2024 power distribution module

    2024

As a new recruit, I designed, brought up and bench-validated the power distribution module (PDM) for the 2024 car. I implemented power switching and circuit protection, also developed the embedded C/C++ firmware on the RP2040 for both race and bench validation. M24 was MUR's first EV car to complete a lap of endurance since 2019, following a complete rebuild of the team post-lockdown.

Statistics

  • Constant-Time Online Prediction of Markov Chains with Memory

    2026

My final-year research project derived and proved a closed-form Bayesian online predictor that replaces MCMC estimation for Markov chains with memory. The MCMC baseline revisited the full realised history at each step, so its per-observation work scaled at O(T); the closed form reduces each update to O(1). I verified the predictor numerically against the MCMC baseline in Python, testing across a range of sequence lengths T and profiling total and per-step runtimes, and measured a 6,000x+ speed-up. The project was graded 93/100, and the written report is available on request.

Software & Others

  • dsh-synthetic-provider

    2026

A native DeepSeek Harness plugin published on npm that integrates Synthetic (api.synthetic.new) as both a chat model route and the web search provider under a single API key. Features an inline composer dock usage indicator monitoring 5-hour request windows and weekly credit balances, along with automatic synchronization of model image and vision modalities against remote API capabilities.

  • Cascadia Motion PM inverter control & telemetry GUI

    2026

Cleanroom reverse-engineered the serial Memory View protocol and developed a cross-platform desktop GUI (PySide6 / pyqtgraph) to control, configure and monitor Cascadia Motion (Rinehart) PM series motor inverters. The OEM Provided GUI only supported Windows 10 and below, this allows Windows 11, Linux and MacOS users to configure and monitor the inverters as well in addition to adding in better creature comforts such as search bars, graphing and descriptive errors.

  • MUR inventory and kitting app

    2025

A custom full-stack web application built for MUR Motorsport and integrated with the PartsBox inventory database. Ingests Altium BOM CSVs, matches manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) against available stock, coordinates project-owned storage and physical kitting for PCB assemblies, and compiles purchase orders across multiple projects. Deployed on Azure Container Apps with Azure SQL.

  • Fanlabs

    2023

An automated Python benchmarking loop for 120 mm PC case fans, built to replace manual testing with repeatable measurement. The rig applies a controlled CPU load, logs estimated CPU power, and captures intake temperature from an Arduino over serial, with pandas handling post-processing. Eight fans were tested. The site is live at fanlabs.net, deployed through Cloudflare Workers and GitHub Actions.
